Although similar in shape and size, there are some subtle differences that can be made between the two. Overall these boots are rated for -40°C/-40°F below and are cost-effective, so they won’t let you down. Personally, I’ve worn both the Kamik and Baffin on many jobsites and they both hold up very well considering the punishment a jobsite has to offer daily. These boots are built from a thicker rubber so they will be slightly heavier then the other boots reviewed. They come in only whole sizes, however that adds the room for an extra pair of socks or an insole for more support.

COMFORT
Overall these boots are very warm and waterproof. I personally think these boots are great on any construction site. The inner liner will keep your feet warm and can be removed to dry at the end of the day or replace when worn out. The liner is comfortable and when adding an insole to the boot it will help with more stabilizing of your foot. Also, they are medium weight which is nice when using them all day long either in the bush or on the job site. The draw string collar will keep the warmth in and the snow out when trekking through deeper snow conditions. When the original liner starts to wear out, Baffin also offers a replacement liner for the Hunter Safety Toe & Plate boot.
SIZING
You might want to consider ordering a size down from your regular shoe size if you want a snug fit. However, if you are looking to add an insole and thicker socks you might want the bigger boot. Just know that these sizes are bigger which allows for different insole and sock combinations. The Height of the boot is long enough for any moderate creek crossings or job-site conditions.
